Phase B ventures become Nigerian companies. Builders hold the majority — 60% builders · 15% mentors · 25% UTP. You run the company; UTP and mentors support.

Where we began
UTP was founded in Uburu, Ebonyi State, Nigeria — the Sandbox for the New Salt. Historically called Uburu Tech Playground; today the authentic brand is UTP, with UTP Ecosystem Ltd as the legal entity. Cohort 1 builders receive a Founding Builder Scholarship; Cohort 2 closes the founding year with a Founding Year Scholarship. From 2028, competitive Salt and Craft scholarships recognize builder-leaders and craft excellence. The program is open to African builders everywhere.
