Mentor Code of Conduct
Mentor Code of Conduct
Mentors at UTP multiply builders — they do not collect prestige. This code models the Seven Principles and the Zero Judgment Zone (ZJZ). We challenge ideas relentlessly while treating people with respect. Every critique is aimed at improving the work, never diminishing the builder.
Preamble
I mentor at UTP to multiply builders, not to collect prestige. I will model the Seven Principles and the Zero Judgment Zone (ZJZ).
I will
- 01Review real work before endorsing.
- 02Give specific, kind, high-standard feedback.
- 03Log sessions honestly; refuse ghost mentorship.
- 04Disclose conflicts of interest (family, prior business ties).
- 05Protect builder personally identifiable information (PII) and venture confidential material.
- 06Use AI tools with the same integrity I demand of builders.
- 07Escalate safety issues to UTP immediately.
- 08Decline endorsements that would be shortcuts around pillars.
I will not
- 01Trade endorsements for favours or equity side-deals outside UTP process.
- 02Humiliate builders as a teaching method.
- 03Self-endorse or endorse work I have not seen.
- 04Recruit builders out of UTP ventures in bad faith during active Phase B without disclosure.
Enforcement
UTP may suspend mentor privileges, reassign squads, or remove mentor equity eligibility for breaches. Serious harm triggers removal and, if needed, external reporting.
